Getting That Work Safely

The 2020 Construction Pre-Apprenticeship Cohort during an in-person class day.

The 2020 Construction Pre-Apprenticeship Cohort during an in-person class day.

As we start a new year, the formation of a new cohort is underway. Soon the first cohort of 2021 and the second cohort during the COVID-19 Pandemic will begin. Considering what the Construction Pre-Apprenticeship program learned from the last time the group came together, the adjustments implemented accommodate safety measures to ensure each trainee stays healthy.

The COVID-19 Safety measures include a hybrid plan to accommodate some remote work, individualized equipment sets, hard hats with face shields provided, daily temperature checks, and a strict COVID-19 response protocol. With these protocols in place, last year's cohort managed to keep everyone safe and graduate 7 pre-apprentices. Overall, 95% of our cohort graduates get placed into full apprenticeships or directly into jobs, making our program a pathway to employment during a time plagued by high unemployment.

If you or someone you know is interested in "getting that work" and joining the 2021 Construction Pre-Apprenticeship program 2021 cohort, go here to apply today.
