HR Administrator

Hours: 8:30 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday

Reports to: HR Director

Salary: $24-$28/hour

Job Summary: 

This position is responsible for performing administrative tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resources department.

Essential Duties:

  • Assisted with day-to-day operations of HR functions and duties.

  • Providing clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives.

  • Compiling and updating employee records.

Job Duties:

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.

  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.

  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.

  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to collect and file all required documents appropriately.

  • Provides clerical support to the HR department.

  • May assist with payroll functions, including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.

  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.

  • Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.

  • Assists with planning and executing special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

  • Performs customer service by answering the phone line and looping in other HR team members or appropriate parties on requests and questions.

  • Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.  

  • Respectfully takes direction from Supervisor.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education + Experience:

  • Associate degree from a college or technical school; one to three years (s) related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience working in an administrative position.
