This week, we were invited by the City of Portland to the City of Portland Citywide Employee Charitable Campaign Tabling Event and were given a platform to illuminate the stories of those we serve. Portland Public Schools Strike Resources
As you have probably heard, Portland Public Schools plans to strike on Wednesday, November 1st. Unless a last-second agreement is reached, all PPS schools will close. RAHS + RAMS are private schools, so that we will remain open for school and our extra-curricular activities.

Amidst the gentle drizzle in the heart of Portland, more than 400 resilient individuals laced up their sneakers, uniting for a profound cause. They gathered to bolster local nonprofits at the forefront of championing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in the tech and education sectors. The outcome was remarkable β a generous $12,500 was raised for our beloved organization. We extend our heartfelt thanks to those who braved the rain to celebrate and support our community.
Dr. Charlene Williams: Leading Oregon's Education
In 1999, Dr. Charlene Williams began her Oregon education journey at Portland Community College. From 2002-2009, she led Rosemary Anderson High School. Her visionary leadership, dedication to inclusive education, and focus on literacy and belonging continue in her new role as interim director of the Oregon Department of Education.

In a recent announcement, the Everytown Community Safety Fund unveiled its plan to award first-time support grants to fifteen community-based violence intervention organizations throughout the United States. Among these distinguished recipients stands the Healing Hurt People program at POIC RAHS, an initiative committed to making a difference in Portland's ongoing gun violence epidemic.
