Union Pacific Awards $10,000 to POIC Construction Pre-Apprenticeship Program

POIC + RAHS was awarded a generous $10,000 grant from Union Pacific. The first time we have been awarded this grant in three years, the funds will go towards Construction Pre-Apprenticeship programming for our trainees.

This grant will help people of color and low-income adults obtain paid internships while learning skills in construction and the trades. Trainees receive hands-on learning experiences, guidance in career planning, classroom instruction, and industry-recognized certifications. Our programming has allowed over 95% of graduates to receive job placements.
