As we wrap up February, we celebrate the rich history and achievements of the Black community and the impactful partnerships that help us serve our community better. POIC + RAHS partnered with the Portland Timbers and the Portland Trail Blazers for their Black History Month Celebration game nights this year.

Every year, the Portland Trail Blazers showcase special performances and activities that honor the legacy of Black leaders and their contributions to our society. This year, the POIC partnership with the Portland Trail Blazers has given us an incredible platform to share our mission and goals with a broader audience. This collaboration helps us expand support to more youth and adults through education, mentoring, and employment services. We're grateful to the Trail Blazers for recognizing our work!

The Portland Timbers celebrated Black History Month on Opening Day, and for the first time, POIC + RAHS was one of the honored nonprofits. Staff and students had the fun job of joining in the Center Circle pregame event. Making it even more exciting, the Timbers took home the win! Thank you, Portland Timbers, for amplifying our mission!
